The Seer is now available on my eStore! I’m so excited! I will be ordering the pre-order copies this morning along with a few extra for anyone who would like a signed copy. If you do, please use the PayPal button to the right of this post to place your order. Note: if you’d like to order multiple copies, please place each one in the cart separately so that the different sign-for names will show up.
One more thing. I will be extending the $12.99 price to the end of the year when you order through PayPal. :)
I called Createspace yesterday to find out what in the world is delaying TS being available online. Apparently there’s been a weird system glitch that tells them on their end that I still haven’t approved it, but on my end it’s saying they need to take the next step. Soooooo we think we’re getting it ironed out. And I hope to soon be posting to announce the book being available. Please be praying that it’ll be worked out soon!
Now that the book is officially published (even though it’s not available on Amazon yet), I’ve decided to get the promised pre-order stuff set up. I’m not sure when the tech people at Createspace will have it set up for me to order the copies, but I’m thinking it’ll be next week some time. I’ll be accepting PayPal only, as it’s secure, fast, and easy. Here’s how it’ll work.
I’ll need to have an order of 6+ copies to make shipping more affordable. As soon as I have the needed orders and the book is available to me, I’ll place my order with Createspace. When I get the copies, I’ll sign them and get them mailed out to their new owners.
I’m knocking one dollar off the price (it’ll be $12.99 instead of $13.99) for a limited time as a thank-you to those of you who pre-order. Shipping will be a few dollars to help me cover getting the copies from Createspace and then turning around and sending them out to you. Thanks!
I got the new proof copy in the mail today, and I am so very relieved to report that it’s correct, it’s shiny, and it’s approved! Now the final stage is waiting for the people over at Createspace to get my eStore situated. I’m not sure how long it’ll take, but right now, I don’t care — I’m too excited! I’ll post an update here when the eStore is open, but in the meantime, here’s the link.
I am really trying to allow this whole publishing thing to teach me patience. For the most part, as long as I’ve left the timing to the Lord, I’ve been okay. It’s just been the times when I’ve freaked myself out by thinking about how I’m over a month behind… uh, never mind. I won’t go there. But you get the idea. And, as my family and friends have told me time and again, it won’t last forever. The book will be released when it’s released. So that points me back to leaving the timing to the Lord, which is a good thing.
Oh, an update on NaNoWriMo progress. I am currently at 31,198 words, and I haven’t yet gotten today’s words in. I’m shooting for 33k by tonight. The story is so amazing — which shouldn’t surprise me since the Lord gave it to me. I’m having a blast writing it, and I know I’ll have a blast when it comes time to clean it up for publication (whenever that’ll be).
As for an update on The Seer, I ordered another proof yesterday. I should get it early next week. I’m really, really, really hoping that it’ll be the last proof I have to order…is that being impatient?
I got the CORRECT proof copy today. It. looks. wonderful. I am so pleased with the changes! However, Mom insists on going through it one final time, so I’m still not able to set a date for the release. We may have to order yet another proof, which is a ridiculously long process… But it’s in the Lord’s hands. I just wanted to post a quick update so that y’all know that I haven’t forgotten about those of you who read this blog. ;D
Oh, and NaNoWriMo is going well. My current word count is 12,749 (I’m a little behind) and I’m muchly enjoying the story. Yes, I know that was bad grammar.
I read through my proof copy over the weekend and found some changes that needed to be made. So I made them, did some format adjusting, and ended up making some changes to the cover. Sooooo now I have to order a new proof copy before I can release it. And I have to wait for Createspace to get it to me, and there’s no knowing when they will. I’m feeling quite frustrated and discouraged because I thought I was finished, and I’m not. Plus, I’m two weeks behind on the release date, and I feel like I’m breaking my word even though these delays are things I have no control over.
So if you’re reading this, and you’re as disappointed as I am about the delays, then please accept my apology. I will continue to do what I can to release the book asap. But I’m not giving any definite dates anymore. I’ll release it as soon as I can, and I’ll announce when it’s released. And please be praying for me in the mean time!
Meet my novel…
Formerly in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, he used to say, Come, and let us go to the seer; for he who is called a prophet now was formerly called a seer.
1 Samuel 9:9Sterling McKinde feels as fragile as the page on which this scripture was printed. These words, brought to light with the arrival of a mysterious stranger, catapult Sterling into a journey that will awaken a passionate flame in her heart that she never knew existed. Time is of the essence, evil is stirring, Earth’s freedom is at stake . . .
UNBIDDEN COMES A DREADFUL STORM.
Well, here I am, setting up my author Web site. This is something that I have thought about doing for a very long time. Now that I am here, it’s rather strange. I suppose I didn’t think I would ever get here. But praise God, He’s gotten me here. And I’m publishing my first book this month. Wow.
So please bear with me as I get this place all set up and ready to go. And please check back for updates on my novel and some spiffy stuff I’ve got planned. :)
